Thấy mọi ng bàn tán và cãi nhau wá nhiều về mặt thủ tục visa du học Phần Lan cũng như về vấn đề bảo hiểm, tôi xin post 1 số thông tin cóp nhặt được, hi vọng hữu ích:
1. Về hồ sơ để apply visa:
Fill in the application form and submit it, along with relevant appendices, to the Finnish diplomatic mission. Required appendices:* letter of acceptance from a Finnish educational institution, which includes information on the duration of studies, the language of study and the degree aimed for
* details of comprehensive health insurance cover
* if necessary, a statement of the applicant’s previous studies and language skills, and
* proof of means of support.

1. Đơn xin giấy phép cư trú đã điền đầy đủ ( mẫu OLE 1), và một bản phụ lục nói rõ về chương trình học của bạn (mẫu OLE 4). Đề nghị nói rõ thời gian học tập dự kiến tại Phần Lan.

3. Trường hợp có Chương Trình Trao ĐổI Sinh Viên quốc tế, ISEP: trình giấy chứng nhận gốc của Tổ Chức Trao ĐổI chấp nhận bạn, giấy này cũng phải nói rõ những quyền lợi của bạn về học phí, ăn và ở.5. Văn bản chứng minh sự thu xếp chỗ ở cho bạn ở Phần Lan. (cái này đã hỏi lại, ko cần thiết)
6. Văn bản chứng minh bạn có đủ tiền sống/học ở Phần Lan. Số tiền yêu cầu là USD 7.000 một năm hay USD 600 một tháng. Bằng chứng này có thể là một thư bảo đảm từ ngân hàng của bạn. Lưu ý rằng bằng chứng về học bổng sẽ được trừ đi từ khoản tiền trên. Nếu toàn bộ chi phí được trả qua một tổ chức nào đó, thì phảI cộng thêm USD 120 mỗI tháng. (cái này đã hỏi lại, chính xác là fải chứng minh 6000 euros)
7. Văn bản chứng minh nếu bạn có bất kỳ học bổng nào.

2. Về vấn đề bảo hiểm : Như đã nói ở trên, bảo hiểm bắt buộc fải có trong hồ sơ xin visa
It is a precondition for obtaining a residence permit that the student has valid health insurance cover with a reliable and solvent company or institution.* For studies of less than two years in duration, a student must have private insurance which primarily covers the costs of medical treatment up to 100,000 euros (cost level in 2007).
* Where the duration of the studies is two years or more, a student will usually have a home municipality in Finland and is therefore entitled to municipal health care services. In such cases, it is sufficient for the insurance to primarily cover the cost of medicines (in practice the cover extends to doctor’s fees and costs of treatment and examination), up to 30,000 euros (cost level in 2007).A student must have insurance cover when applying for a residence permit as without it a residence permit cannot be granted. In principle a residence permit cannot be issued for a period exceeding the period of the insurance cover.
Như vậy anh em sắp đi fải mua loại bảo hiểm cover được 30k euros. Các bạn có thể tham khảo bảo hiểm của Bảo Việt, AIG,…… (giá cả cũngkhác nhau, nên lựa chọn kĩ)

Các bạn chú ý:
a. Date of Departure là ngày bắt đầu bảo hiểm; Date of Return là ngày hết hạn bảo hiểm
b. Deductible là hạn mức thấp nhất của hóa đơn mà bảo hiểm sẽ trả:
VD: bạn chọn 100$. Những hóa đơn dưới 100$ sẽ không được trả ngay, còn những hóa đơn trên 100 sẽ được bảo hiểm chi trả. Deductible càng cao thì tiền mua bảo hiểm càng ít.
Maximum coverage là mức tiền lớn nhất bạn có thể được bồi thường. Coverage càng cao thì tiền bảo hiểm càng nhiều.
Nếu thời gian học của bạn dự kiến ở Fin > 2 năm ( tức là học ĐH chẳng hạn) thi bạn chỉ cần cover mức 30.000 EUR
